Recognizes those who have advanced the field of pharmacometrics and its future direction
PRINCETON, NJ.— 2021 年 10 月 4 日 – Certara, Inc., the global leader in biosimulation, today announced that Piet van der Graaf, Pharm.D., Ph.D,. is the recipient of the 2021 Leadership Award by the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP) for his outstanding sustained leadership, mentorship, and contributions in the field of pharmacometrics.
Dr. van der Graaf is currently the senior vice president and head of quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) at Certara. In this role, he leads the development of the QSP biosimulation software platform that uses virtual patients with mathematical modeling to describe and quantify interactions between drugs and patients. Recently, he was invited by the US FDA, European Medicines Agency and UK’s Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency to speak about his research on immunogenicity and Certara’s Vaccine Simulator. Dr. van der Graaf is also professor of Systems Pharmacology at Leiden University, editor-in-chief at Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics (CPT), and a Fellow of the British Pharmacological Society.
The ISoP Leadership Award was established in 2009 to acknowledge individuals whose leadership contributions have advanced the field of pharmacometrics and related scientific areas. Candidates for the Award are nominated and then ranked by the ISoP Awards Committee based on key criteria, including their demonstrated excellence in leadership in pharmacometrics and major long-term contributions.
