Pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic relationships are crucial in understanding a drug’s arrhythmogenic potential. Models assist to quantitatively relate parent and metabolite concentrations to adverse electrocardiographic effects, including an apparent delay between effect and circulating parent species concentration.
