Carrie Zanon Malinczak, PhD

Carrie Zanon Malinczak, PhD, is Director of Toxicology at Certara, where she provides strategic and scientific leadership in nonclinical safety assessment and toxicology programs supporting drug development. With more than 25 years of experience across biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and life sciences organizations, she brings deep expertise in toxicology, immunology, virology, molecular and cellular pathology, and translational research.

Prior to joining Certara, Carrie held scientific and leadership positions at several biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer, Esperovax, Aastrom Biosciences, and NAMSA. Throughout her career, she has led multidisciplinary research programs spanning early discovery through development, contributing to innovative therapeutic, vaccine, and health-focused technologies.

Carrie earned her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Pathology from the University of Michigan Medical School, where she also completed postdoctoral training. Her scientific contributions have been recognized with the Young Investigator Award from the American Association of Immunologists. She is an accomplished author and inventor, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and patents in the fields of toxicology, immunology, and virology.
