Abstract
Hypertension frequently co-occurs with diabetes, making it important to understand pharmacokinetic interactions between antihypertensive and hypoglycemic therapies. This single-arm, self-controlled study in healthy Chinese volunteers evaluated the pharmacokinetic interaction between the SGLT2 inhibitor henagliflozin (SHR3824) and the angiotensin receptor blocker valsartan, with pharmacokinetic parameters calculated using Phoenix WinNonlin. Geometric mean ratios and 90% confidence intervals for both drugs' key pharmacokinetic parameters fell within the standard bioequivalence range when co-administered versus given alone, and only mild adverse events were reported with no serious events. The results indicate that co-administration of henagliflozin and valsartan does not meaningfully affect the pharmacokinetics of either drug, supporting their combined clinical use.

Phoenix NLME:Confirming No Interaction
Phoenix NLME's pharmacokinetic analysis showed this SGLT2 inhibitor and valsartan can be safely co-administered without a meaningful drug interaction. Within a Phoenix platform trusted by scientists and regulators for over three decades, Phoenix NLME is also available through RsNLME, bringing population PK/PD modeling into R for teams who prefer that environment.
