Chemaxon retires JChem for Office Lite

We are sunsetting JChem for Office Lite as its core capabilities have become a native part of the Marvin Elite tier, our most comprehensive offering for chemical structure sketching within Microsoft Office.

This consolidation allows us to deliver a more seamless, powerful, and unified experience for chemists working across Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, without requiring a separate product.

What this means for existing customers:

Effective immediately, new sales of JChem for Office Lite have been discontinued. Existing customers will not be able to renew their licenses after 2027 年 1 月 1 日.

We recommend transitioning to Marvin, where you will find all the functionality you rely on today. In Elite, chemical structures can be inserted, edited, and updated directly in your documents and spreadsheets as live chemical objects.

Need advanced chemistry tools within Office?

If your workflows go beyond embedding and editing structures, for example, structure search, property calculations, or reaction management directly within Office, JChem for Office remains available with its full, extended feature set.
